I have been writing professionally for over 10 years, and I have kept a very dramatic journal since I was 7 years old. In my time as a professional writer, I have covered everything from internationally renowned bands like The Postal Service and Modest Mouse to food reviews. I am the author of Cat Zodiac: The Feline Guide to the Mystique (Chronicle Books), and I am the recipient of an Alternative Association of Newsmedia Award for my contributions to a journalism piece on local houselessness issues.
I am deeply, madly in love with the human brain and all of its idiosyncrasies and secret corners full of untold stories. I love writing about parts of the human experience we are often too shy to discuss. I have lots of experience speaking and writing about disability, gender, sexuality, and the diversity of our incredible, strange lives on this planet. I have written copy for very serious Fortune 1000 leaders, and I have written stories with the hopes that the reader would be temporarily drawn away from the gravity of the day-to-day grind. Currently, I write for an enterprise SEO company as a marketing content specialist. Whether it’s B2B marketing materials or niche horoscopes you need, I am here to help you write it.
I have lived all over the U.S. In 1996, my parents squeezed me into the sideways-facing jump seat of a Ford Ranger and drove me 2,000 miles from my hometown of Woodland Hills, California to Ellettsville, Indiana. We lived in Indiana one cold, bitter winter before moving to Arroyo Grande, California, where I spent the remainder of my growing years. This early nomadic experience exposed me to all sorts of people, living all kinds of lives. It was this exposure that turned me into a writer. I want to help you tell your story, whatever story that may be.
